We are sending out a warm welcome to August. It’s the beginning of a new month, as well as the last month to really enjoy your summer activities. We encourage you to spend some time outdoors and absorb the remainder of sunshine and BBQ season!
We are busy preparing for our annual Client Appreciation BBQ, which is right around the corner. Our BBQ goes beyond the standard gathering with our cool themes, face painting, and spray park fun, but we also enjoy a simple BBQ! With that, here are some tips on how to make the most of your BBQ gatherings:
1. Go potluck-style
You really can’t go wrong when you ask family and friends to bring a different dish for everyone to share. Not only do you get a little variety but it lowers the cost, especially if you’re the one hosting.
2. Keep it simple
No need for fancy or complicated dishes when you’re generally eating outside with the bugs! Stick with hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad and watermelon for dessert if you want to keep it super stress-free.
3. Pick pitcher-perfect drinks
It’s Summer and ice cold drinks are obviously preferred. Choose a couple refreshing beverages where you can keep them nice and cool, like iced tea or lemonade.
4. Bust out the yard games
Ever hear of backyard Twister? It’s a thing! All you need is four cans of spray paint. Other popular BBQ yard games are bocce ball and lawn bowling.
