Client Story Thursday

As told by Michael Wharmby, Owner and Broker at Innovative Mortgage Solutions

On June 30th, I received a very worried phone call from a colleague of a past client of mine. It was the day before the long weekend and she was supposed to be taking possession of her new home on July 4th – the very next business day. It was getting very close to the wire, and she was concerned because her mortgage documents were still not ready. She was worried that she was about to lose her new home, and her current Broker had been unsuccessful in ensuring everything would be ready on time.

My past client had given her my information with the hope that I would be able to help get her mortgage closed before it was too late. After collecting some of the necessary details from her, I discovered that her mortgage financing was through a Lender we happen to deal with on a regular basis.

I called my contact at the Lending institution and explained the problem. In turn, he called the Manager of their Funding department at their Corporate Headquarters. We were able to make it a priority to get her file completed, and the next day, I got a phone call letting me know that she had just picked up the keys to her new home. The Innovative Team was so thrilled to be able to make her new purchase a reality - we were able to successfully get her into her home on the original possession date and complete her mortgage on time even though she was not our client.

Our team strives to ensure that every file is completed ahead of time so our clients do not have to worry about these types of issues during the final hour. If you find yourself in a bind throughout your mortgage process, we are always here to do what we can for you. Avoid the frustration of dealing with disorganized Brokers by contacting our office today!
